La empresa de consultoría Gartner calcula una aportación del Internet de las Cosas a la economía mundial de 1.9 billones de dólares para el 2020. Para los que tengan dudas con estos números tan grandes, estamos hablando de 1,9 millones de millones, cifra que subirá hasta los 5,17 billones en 2025.

En esta misma línea Forrester, empresa líder en análisis de mercado, estima que, mientras que en 2012 tan solo el 15% de las grandes empresas tenían una solución en marcha en este terreno, el 2014 cerró con un 25%.
